SPORTS NEWS

➤ Arkansas football coach Ryan Silverfield and his staff are starting official visits with potential transfers today as the NCAA transfer portal opens and will run until Jan. 16. The program looks to add new talent through these meetings. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
➤ Razorbacks kicker Blake Ford and offensive lineman LJ Prudhomme will enter the NCAA transfer portal when it opens Friday — they are among 18 scholarship players expected to transfer.
