➤ Fort Smith businessman Buddy Coleman, founder of ERC Properties and Rausch Coleman Homes, died at 89; he built over 75,000 homes and taught Sunday school. A service (9:30-10:45 a.m. visit followed by an 11 a.m. service) is scheduled for Jan. 21 at Cross Church in Springdale. NWA Business Journal

CULTURE NEWS

➤ Water Witch will run a winter film and cocktail series at Puritan Coffee and Beer on Dickson Street every other Thursday in January and February. The first event is on Jan. 15 at 6:00 p.m. featuring 'Tampopo' with drink pairings (ramen martini or white negroni) and tickets at $10. Fayetteville Flyer
