CULTURE NEWS

  • Sixteen artists were honored on Feb. 5 at the Arkansas Arts Council's Individual Artist Fellowship Awards reception at Mosaic Templars Cultural Center, where their creative work was recognized. Local talent received the awards during the event.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • Yesterday, the Razorbacks faced TCU at Globe Life Field in Arlington. Starter Hunter Dietz struggled early so the bullpen was used, and a crowd (possibly over 20,000) watched following a win over Oklahoma State.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas basketball coach John Calipari (with players Billy Richmond and Darius Acuff) held a press conference Saturday to discuss the Razorbacks' win over Auburn.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Jordan Smith, a 5-star basketball commit, impressed Razorbacks officials with his smart play and maturity, according to ESPN's national recruiting director Biancardi. He is set to join the team next season to boost its lineup.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
