  • The Milken Institute has ranked northwest Arkansas as the best performing metro area, reflecting strong jobs and Walmart reaching a $1 trillion market cap. ENVIRONMENT NEWS

  • Arkansas Agricultural Experiment Station will build a network of 20 high-tech weather stations by decade’s end with a $425,000 USDA grant to enhance weather data for farmers and researchers. SPORTS NEWS

  • The Arkansas softball team will face Northwestern in its final Razorback Invitational game today at 1 p.m. at Bogle Park in Fayetteville. The team, ranked eighth in the ESPN/USA poll, won recent games 7-0 and 6-0 — a promising sign for fans.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas softball beat Northwestern 7-0 and SEMO 16-2 in a Saturday doubleheader at Bogle Park. The No. 8 Razorbacks improved their record with strong pitching and timely hitting in chilly weather (46°F with 10-15 mph winds) following wins on Friday.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
