- ➤ The U.S. Department of Transportation said last week it would close 550 sham commercial driver training providers, including (12) here, leaving local institutions confused about next steps. More details are expected from the agency soon. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ The VA announced on Monday, Feb. 23 that Martha Smith has been named as the new medical center director for the Veterans Health Care System of the Ozarks, which serves 60,000 veterans across 22 counties, and she will begin her role within the next 45 to 60 days. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ Pea Ridge saw 143 residential lots sell for $10.51M at $73,500 each, while DR Horton acquired 107 lots in Springdale and Prairie Grove for $9.67M, and other local deals included a 40-acre property for $5.5M and 12 homes in Pea Ridge selling for nearly $3.9M. NWA Business Journal
