  • At New Province Brewery in Rogers — comedian Kendrea James hosted an open mic night on Wednesday, March 4 that drew a full house and plenty of laughs.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art is hosting America 250: Common Threads to mark 250 years of American art; the exhibit is open through July 27 at 600 Museum Way in Bentonville with tickets at $15 and free admission for members, SNAP participants, veterans and youth 18 and younger.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Filmmaker Jeff Nichols seeks 40 paid crew positions for his upcoming feature film King Snake+ the Arkansas Cinema Society is aiding recruitment efforts as production returns to the state. Local film professionals should watch for application details soon.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • Arkansas’ men’s track team won its 22nd NCAA indoor title Saturday at Randal Tyson Indoor Track Center, earning 73.5 points and marking their 43rd men's championship while the women finished fourth for the second straight year. The win brought the Razorbacks to 52 championships across indoor track and cross country.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The Arkansas Razorbacks (No. 17) will face Ole Miss in the SEC Tournament at 2:30 p.m. CDT Saturday in Nashville, Tennessee after a 94-87 win in their previous game, and they are favored by 8.5 points.  4029 News
  • After a 93-90 overtime win against Ole Miss, the Razorbacks advanced to the SEC Tournament final and held a press conference where John Calipari and key players answered questions + the team now prepares for their next contest.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas baseball lost 7-2 to Mississippi State in the first game of today’s doubleheader at Baum-Walker Stadium, and Game Two will begin at 4:45 p.m. as the Razorbacks look to regroup and tie the series.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The Arkansas men’s basketball team is expected to be seeded as either a No. 4 or No. 5 team on Selection Sunday & their seeding will shape first round matchups.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • UA running back Mike Washington ran a 4.33 40-yard dash at Lucas Oil Field in Indianapolis a couple weeks ago and showed his emotions after a strong performance.
