  • Springdale-based Harps Food Stores agreed Tuesday to purchase 17 Dyer Foods locations in Tennessee and one in Kentucky at Fulton, with the deal expected to close by summer while operations remain largely unchanged.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

CULTURE NEWS

  • Rap star Lil Wayne will perform at Walmart AMP in Rogers on Aug. 16 as part of his 20th anniversary tour — Citi card members can access presale tickets from 10 a.m. Wednesday to 10 p.m. Thursday while general sales begin at 10 a.m. Friday on Ticketmaster.com.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • A judge ruled that posting Ten Commandments posters in area K-12 schools is unconstitutional, affecting districts such as Springdale. State Sen. Jim Dotson said an appeal will be filed, and the case could eventually reach the Supreme Court.  4029 News
  • State legislators gave preliminary approval to a one-year $90,000 contract with London firm Renaissance Energy Advisors to create a strategic roadmap for Arkansas lithium development. The contract now heads to the full legislative council on Friday for a final vote.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

REAL ESTATE NEWS

  • Little Rock-based Tempus Realty Partners bought industrial properties in Rogers and Iowa for $22.2M, marking its first acquisition in 2026. The Rogers deal includes four buildings totaling 82,658 sqft available for lease (purchased in late 2025 for $8.2M) and the Iowa asset adds a stable manufacturing tenant.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • Arkansas guard Darius Acuff Jr. was named a first-team AP All-American Tuesday after posting 22.9 points and 6.5 assists per game this season. He is the first Razorbacks player honored on the first team since Sidney Moncrief (1978-79).  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas freshman right-hander Peyton Lee will return to pitch in the Razorbacks midweek finale after the team's 13-2 win over Northern Colorado on Tuesday. The team also celebrated St. Patrick's Day in Fayetteville.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
