  • Scarlet Letter, a local beverage company, acquired Black Apple's brand and will produce its hard cider at its Springdale facility to relaunch it in bars, restaurants and retail outlets in the coming months. Some Black Apple employees will join Scarlet Letter — supporting the transition — to help expand the brand.  Fayetteville Flyer
  • Springdale-based MoistureShield decking’s composite wood plant was acquired by outdoor living brand Deckorators Tuesday — the deal will support local operations and community business.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

CULTURE NEWS

  • Bob Dylan and Lucinda Williams, joined by the John Doe Folk Trio, will perform at the Walmart AMP in Rogers on July 3 as part of the Synchrony Concert Series. Gates open at 5:30 p.m. — the show starts at 7 p.m.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Shiloh Christian defeated Gentry 12-2 in a 4A-1 Conference baseball game held at Springdale. Jacob Maynard hit a three-run home-run in a six-run third-inning while Chandler Kemp added a game-ending blast to secure the victory.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The Northwest Arkansas Naturals hosted a home opener yesterday at Arvest Ballpark against the Amarillo Sod Poodles, with the first pitch thrown at 7:05 p.m. The team will continue their homestand through April 12 during a six-month season.  5 News
  • Arkansas men’s basketball moved up to No. 13 in the final AP Top 25 poll after reaching the Sweet 16 in the NCAA Tournament; they lost 109-88 to Arizona, and coach John Calipari & his team are set for a strong offseason in Fayetteville.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas Razorbacks basketball players Karter Knox and D.J.   • Arkansas men's basketball freshman forward Karim Rtail entered the transfer portal Tuesday after missing pre-semester practice due to a back injury, making him the third Razorback to leave this season.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Arkansas softball senior Robyn Herron was named SEC Pitcher of the Week after an 8-inning shutout and save in a series sweep over Auburn. Her 1.52 ERA ranks 14th nationally, and the Razorbacks will face Mississippi State Friday at 5 p.m. on SEC Network+.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
