Scarlet Letter, a local beverage company, acquired Black Apple's brand and will produce its hard cider at its Springdale facility to relaunch it in bars, restaurants and retail outlets in the coming months.

Some Black Apple employees will join Scarlet Letter — supporting the transition — to help expand the brand.

Springdale-based MoistureShield decking’s composite wood plant was acquired by outdoor living brand Deckorators Tuesday — the deal will support local operations and community business.
