- ➤ Two Springdale men waived their arraignment in Washington County Circuit Court — they face charges for firing a gun from a car at a subdivision in February with June court dates set. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
CULTURE NEWS
- ➤ Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art will host award-winning journalist Katie Couric on April 24—she will join board chair Olivia Walton for a fireside chat that explores the link between media, wellness and storytelling. - ➤ A movie filmed in and around Fayetteville starring Rumer Willis, Gbenga Akinnagbe, Jeff Fahey and Eric Nelsen will be released May 23 (in theaters and on streaming) under the title Trail of Vengeance. The western (filmed in summer 2024 at Fayetteville, Prairie Grove, Downtown Van Buren and other local spots) is directed by Johnny Remo and written by him and Daniel Backman. Fayetteville Flyer
EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Arkansas lawmakers passed a bill that will require all public and charter schools to install audio recording devices in locker rooms to help protect students from bullying and abuse. The law, known as Eli's Law and sponsored by Rep. Keith Brooks, will use funds from the School Public Safety Fund and require recordings to be kept for at least 90 days with clear signage notifying students and staff. 5 News

- ➤ True North Realty Group, an independent brokerage with 27 agents, has joined forces with Keller Williams Market Pro Realty—deal terms were not disclosed. The group said it is on track to reach $100 million in sales by 2025 and Keller Williams said the union will strengthen its top position in Northwest Arkansas. NWA Business Journal
