ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Students from Har-Ber High School in Springdale and six Fayetteville schools planted nearly 1,000 pots of American pond weed and 50 delta arrowhead plants in school greenhouses at Bob Kidd Lake near Prairie Grove—supported by local business donations and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. In April, the students transplanted the plants to floating nursery cages to protect them from aquatic herbivores and improve habitat for native fish while applying classroom science.
