- ➤ Three tornadoes hit Washington County on Monday—two in Lincoln that knocked down trees, broke power lines and damaged homes, and one in Greenland that damaged a building—with no injuries reported. Sarah Huckabee Sanders appointed Ashley Pointer to the Northwest Arkansas Community College Board of Trustees for Zone 1 (covering most of Centerton and western Bentonville) as she replaces Dr. Carolyn Reeves, who resigned after accepting a fellowship, with Pointer's term set to expire Jan. 1, 2027. - ➤ Advocates have pushed for better care for moms and babies after Gov. Sanders signed an executive order a little over a year ago. At the Northwest Arkansas Health Summit, experts detailed plans to expand access using Medicaid changes such as increased reimbursement and earlier coverage—along with doulas and community health workers—to boost care statewide.
