CRIME NEWS

  • Fayetteville — Federal prosecutors filed a superseding 20-count indictment against the owners of a Springdale-based nonprofit organization — charging them with wire fraud, theft and tax evasion.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The former Johnson fire chief Chance Lamar Wright and Springdale firefighter Brian William Copeland were arrested on embezzlement charges for allegedly stealing $8,685 from the city by using false work records—both face arraignment on June 18 in Washington County Circuit Court.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • The Northwest Arkansas Jazz Society will present a Summer Jazz Concert Series featuring internationally acclaimed Champian Fulton, Youngjoo Song and Miki Yamanaka on June 22 at 7 p.m.—the concert will take place at Walton Arts Center’s Starr Theater with tickets priced from $31.50 to $51.75 available online, by phone or in person.  KNWA
