  • The Springdale School District promoted Shannon Tisher to deputy superintendent on Friday as she replaces retiring Marcia Smith. Tisher brings 26 years of local experience and will work under Superintendent Jared Cleveland.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • UAFS sophomore Danu Regalado will begin a 4,000-mile bike ride from California to Washington, D.C. this summer to promote inclusion and empathy for people with disabilities, aiming to inspire Fort Smith neighbors to support community initiatives.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
