  • A six-year-old boy drowned Saturday in a pond at Shaw Family Park at 7391 W. Downum Road after a caller reported he was near the splash pad—first responders arrived at 8:10 p.m., attempted life-saving measures, and he was taken to the hospital where he was pronounced dead.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
