- ➤ The Northwest Arkansas Pride Festival took place on June 28 in Fayetteville with an annual parade and a pop concert by Betty Who, following a June 27 trans march and drag show. The festival will continue today with more events scheduled. KNWA
ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ In June, Arkansas recorded nine tornadoes, making it the most active month since 1916. Washington County confirmed two EF–1 tornadoes near Devil’s Den and West Fork that brought the year-to-date total to 59, well above the state’s average of 37. KNWA
GOVERNMENT NEWS
- ➤ Tech group NetChoice sued Arkansas in a federal court in Fayetteville on Friday over two new laws that limit social media content and permit parents to sue platforms if they believe harmful content contributed to a child's death. A spokesperson for Attorney General Tim Griffin said his office reviewed the complaint and will defend the laws. KNWA
