- ➤ The trial for Gilberto Gordillo, a Springdale man charged with capital murder and attempted capital murder in connection with the Lake Fayetteville shooting that killed one and injured four last year, has been delayed until April 20, 2026—pending lab reports led to a status hearing on July 1 that set the new dates, including an omnibus hearing on March 12. - ➤ Dr. Brian Hyatt, a former board member accused of Medicaid fraud, was booked on July 3 in Benton County for DWI+ open container and for refusing a chemical test, and he was released with no bond while a judge will rule on a request to ban his alcohol use on July 11. KNWA

- ➤ True Colors Farm has paused its tulip picking after five seasons because extreme weather, competition, and a fungal disease caused a $60,000 shortfall—forcing the nonprofit to shift its main funding source. - ➤ Washington County received a $4,000 grant from the Arkansas Opioid Recovery Partnership to buy naloxone, a drug that stops opioid overdoses.
