- ➤ A 78-year-old Rogers man named Frederick Lear drowned Friday after he fell off his boat dock at 16279 Tomahawk Trail into Beaver Lake — Lt. - ➤ A homeless Springdale man pleaded guilty to kidnapping a man at gunpoint, stealing his car and robbing his friends in Fayetteville—he will serve a 15-year prison sentence. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

- ➤ Arkansas saw more fully electric vehicles registered in 2025 so far, with 8,800 units recorded & about 2,000 more than last year, while hybrid registrations grew by 7,000 and fees returned over $4 million to local roads. KNWA

- ➤ Starting July 7, the Low-Income Home Energy Assistance Program began accepting applications in Springdale to help residents manage high energy bills brought on by extreme temperatures. Applicants must provide valid ID, Social Security cards, utility bills, and proof of income to qualify—case managers expect the program to assist around 3000 families this year. KNWA
