Good morning, Springdale. Here's your local news at a glance for Wednesday, the 9th of July.

CRIME NEWS

  • The Washington County Sheriff’s Office is asking for public help to identify a bathroom shown in photos posted on Tuesday — the images display a concrete floor, a toilet paper holder and artwork on the wall from somewhere in Northwest Arkansas — and it did not confirm any link to a recent Springdale case involving a hidden camera.  KNWA
  • A Rogers man pleaded guilty to terroristic threatening and criminal mischief linked to a 2024 shooting in Springdale—he received a six-year prison sentence Monday.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

EDUCATION NEWS

  • CEOs from local Boys and Girls Clubs warned that a funding freeze by the U.S. Department of Education paused $1.3 billion in community learning funds+ placing up to 10 local clubs and a new Fort Smith teen center at risk.
