- ➤ The Rogers-based nonprofit Teen Action and Support Center is hosting its fifth-year Bucket List Summer program today—an eight-day no-cost camp for teens aged 13 to 16 that will offer hands-on activities like kayaking, rock climbing, and mountain biking to build friendships and self-esteem. KNWA

- ➤ A person was killed in a shooting at a home on Willow Drive in Centerton + Benton County Coroner Daniel Oxford said no further details were available. KNWA

- ➤ A Washington County project that helps people exit the criminal justice system with substance abuse treatment and life skills education has earned national recognition from the National Association of Counties. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ A subcommittee of the Arkansas Legislative Council met earlier this week to look at how to improve emergency communication and cellphone coverage in the state after Texas flooding killed at least 110 people. - ➤ Health officials report that the U.S. is experiencing its worst measles outbreak in over 30 years with 1,288 cases recorded, and experts say the true number may be higher. Arkansas recorded eight cases, including six in Faulkner County, as local and federal authorities urge vaccination & enhanced public health efforts to curb further spread.
