  • J.B. Hunt Transport Services Inc. will report flat second-quarter earnings and a slight revenue decline on Tuesday, July 15 — the Lowell-based carrier is expected to earn $1.32 per share with revenue dipping 0.11% to $2.93 billion, and investors will watch for improved performance later in the year.  KNWA
  • The family behind AQ Chicken House said rising construction and material costs forced them to look for a new Springdale location, so the restaurant will not open as planned in 2025. They remain committed to keeping the business local and are working to secure a new site.  5 News

HEALTH NEWS

  • A new report shows that 30 of 47 rural hospitals are at risk of closing within six to seven years—an estimate issued even before providers expected Medicaid changes from the federal One Big, Beautiful Bill Act to take effect.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • Four Razorbacks were drafted in the first round Sunday night, lifting the total from Arkansas baseball players to 14. Right-handed pitcher Gage Wood went 26th overall to the Phillies—shortstop Wehiwa Aloy went 31st to the Orioles while left-handed pitcher Zach Root and outfielder Charles Davalan were picked 40th and 41st by the Dodgers.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • The University of Arkansas signed top-rated freshman linebacker Tavion Wallace who said his speed + a career-best 10.6 in the 100 yards gives him an edge in SEC play.
