- ➤ Sheep Dog Impact Assistance sent a team to climb Africa’s Mount Kilimanjaro over the weekend as part of its 'Kili Climb for a Cause' program—this trek helps veterans and first responders overcome trauma and push past their limits. Springdale-based Sam’s Furniture joined the effort—supporting the mission and backing veterans like Danielle Green as they work to leave their past struggles behind. KNWA
- ➤ Friends, family and fans will honor wrestler Kevin Nikel, known as Ivan Warsaw, after he was fatally shot in Benton County on July 11. A memorial service will be held Friday, July 18 at 2 p.m. at New Hope Assembly of God in Rogers — a tribute wrestling show will follow Saturday at 7 p.m. at the Rogers Convention Center. 5 News

- ➤ Walmart executive Lisa Perry was elected chair of the Arkansas Advanced Energy Association to push new energy policies through testifying before state regulatory commissions, and Fayetteville environmental director Peter Nierengarten was elected chair of the Arkansas Advanced Energy Foundation to guide efforts on clean energy solutions and job growth statewide. - ➤ Rogers police arrested three people on July 9 in connection with an armed drug robbery near South Grand Avenue and West Capital Avenue—DeAngelo Boyd, Blair Bailey, and Jessie Davis face charges for aggravated robbery and theft of property and are being held in Benton County jail with court appearances scheduled for August 18 at 8 a.m. KNWA
- ➤ A former Farmington High School agriculture teacher pleaded guilty to misdemeanor harassment in Washington County Circuit Court on Friday and surrendered his teaching license as part of a plea deal. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
