- ➤ Springdale Public Schools confirmed on July 30 that Andrew James McGann—charged in the Devil’s Den State Park killings—was hired as a teacher candidate for the upcoming school year and has not yet contacted students while he remains in custody as the investigation continues. KNWA
- ➤ A Springdale man, James McGann, 28, was arrested on Wednesday in connection with the murder of a Prairie Grove couple at Devil’s Den State Park after a five-day search — he was taken into custody at Lupita’s Beauty Salon and is set to appear in court today. KNWA
- ➤ Springdale teacher candidate Andrew James McGann is accused of killing two hikers at Devil’s Den State Park Saturday while he was set to begin work at Springdale Public Schools this fall—police said he held teaching licenses in Arkansas, Texas, and Oklahoma and had recently moved from Oklahoma.
