- ➤ A new hearing was scheduled in the murder case against Rogers man Ashton Balentine—accused of capital murder following his arrest on April 29 for a shooting at 405 Wayland Drive in Springdale that left one person dead and a female victim injured—with a status hearing set for Nov. 14 due to incomplete lab reports. - ➤ Rodney Tillman Jr. was arrested last week in Little Rock and is held at the Washington County Detention Center on $50,000 bond—he faces terroristic act, aggravated assault and criminal mischief charges for a July 7 shooting in a Springdale parking lot that injured four vehicles and for an April 18 incident in Marianna, with arraignment set for August 18. - ➤ Chancellor Charles Robinson told board trustees at the Winthrop Rockefeller Institute in Morrilton that UA projects record fall enrollment topping 34,000—above last fall’s 33,610—with more than 7,000 new degree seeking freshmen.
