  • Forbes named the top in-state employers for 2025 based on surveys of 160,000 workers—Lockheed Martin ranked first, followed by Arkansas Blue Cross and Blue Shield and PepsiCo, with the list also featuring Amazon, Arkansas Children’s Hospital, Washington Regional Medical Center, and Springdale Public Schools.  KNWA
  • Stephanie Cornell, executive director of the Walton Family Foundation, announced she will step down at the end of this year to spend more time with family. She will remain until December to help with the transition — ensuring key initiatives in business growth, housing and education continue smoothly.  KNWA

EDUCATION NEWS

  • John Brown University in Siloam Springs reached a record fall enrollment of 1,423 students as 441 new students began orientation on August 20th. The incoming class includes 374 freshmen, 59 new transfers and eight returning students plus they come from 34 states and 51 countries.  NWA Business Journal
