  • The train cars from Dickson Street were moved Tuesday afternoon along Razorback Greenway just west of the former Arsaga’s building—crews prepared the area for the caboose while developers House and Belden plan to turn the cars into vintage lounge spaces as part of a new restaurant and bar project.  Fayetteville Flyer

GOVERNMENT NEWS

  • City Attorney Ernest Cate briefed the Springdale Council on Wednesday that acquiring property for city projects is complex—he explained that out of 285 tracts for the 2018 bond issue, only 41 cases went to court for eminent domain. The committee also approved resolutions for new police equipment and a revised offer of $83,800 for part of the Don Tyson Parkway property.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • At Tuesday's Wolverine Invitational at Bella Vista Country Club, Bentonville won the men's golf title with a score of 280 and its girls title with a score of 246 as Jack Bennett and Grace Abbruzzese—who hit a hole-in-one—led their teams. At Big Sugar Golf Club and in a volleyball match, Shiloh Christian won the girls golf contest, Providence Academy won the boys contest, and Gravette beat Berryville 25-23, 25-20, 25-11.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • Fayetteville’s volleyball team won a hard-fought match after dropping the opening set Tuesday night at Wolverine Arena in Centerton—they overcame Bentonville West with set scores of 22-25, 25-23, 25-22, 25-22.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
