  • Critics say that the Education Freedom Accounts program shifts taxpayer money from public schools when students leave—lawmakers say funding stays strong because schools get full-year support even if enrollment drops. The program gives students 90% of last year’s per-pupil funding and will be available to all families for the 2025-26 school year.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

SPORTS NEWS

  • Bryant, the defending state champions, won its home opener on Friday night by beating Newton 31-14 at Hornet Stadium. Robinson scored two touchdowns and the defense held Newton’s top running back to 20 yards (on nine carries) to secure the win.  Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
