CULTURE NEWS

  • Northwest Arkansas Fall arts and crafts fairs will bring handmade art and jewelry to several communities this season—Bentonville will host an event on October 10 at 10:00 a.m., Rogers is set for October 16 at 8:00 a.m., and Springdale will have shows at the Northwest Arkansas Convention Center on October 17 at 3:00 a.m. and 9:00 a.m., with more events added daily.  Northwest Arkansas Travel Guide

ECONOMY NEWS

  • Benton County saw a 14.6% rise in average weekly wages in the first quarter of 2025— the highest among 372 large counties— with professional services boosting earnings by 19.1% as national averages grew to $1,589; only Pulaski and Washington counties from Arkansas posted data among the largest counties.  NWA Business Journal

SPORTS NEWS

  • The Razorbacks will travel to Oxford, Miss. this Saturday at 6 p.m. to face No. 17 Ole Miss as they try to bounce back from a heavy loss last year—using focused practice and lessons learned—to start the season strong.  Fayetteville Flyer
  • The Arkansas Razorbacks lost by 32 points to Ole Miss last season and will travel to Oxford to face the number 17 Rebels at 6 p.m. Saturday. Coach Pittman said the tough loss will drive the team—pushing them to work harder in practice—for a better performance in the contest.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
