  • Walmart said it will remove synthetic dyes and additives from about 1,000 private label products—including brands like Marketside, bettergoods, Freshness Guaranteed and Great Value—by January 2027, replacing them with natural ingredients. Officials at the Culinary Innovation Center in Bentonville showed reformulated items that use natural color sources, joining other major food companies in addressing health concerns.  KNWA

EDUCATION NEWS

  • Southwest Junior High School held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on Friday after students began classes in the new 153,868 sq-ft building last year, and local leaders celebrated the $46.7 million project completed by Baldwin & Shell Construction Co. The modern facility offers new classrooms, a library, a gym, and multipurpose spaces to enhance student learning.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

  • A Springdale woman said her bad experiences with caregivers during her parents' home care have led her to push for changes to Arkansas law—she plans to work with lawmakers to improve care for families.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette

HEALTH NEWS

  • Pinnacle Hills Promenade in Rogers is hosting a Pink Bag event with the Cancer Challenge today from 11 a.m. to 1 p.m. in honor of Breast Cancer Awareness Month, and the event will provide (150 free pink bags) to cancer survivors along with crafts, information, and local resources.  KNWA

SPORTS NEWS

  • Matt Jones and Ethan Westerman answered questions from the WholeHogSports message boards—offering predictions for this weekend’s college football games.  Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
  • On Friday at 8 p.m. at Bud Walton Arena — Dylan Earl performed his album release show 'Level-Headed Even Smile' while head coach Calipari introduced the Razorback team with contests like three-point shooting and dunk competitions.
