- ➤ Arkansas Drug Take Back Day will be held on October 25 to let residents safely drop off expired, unused and unwanted prescriptions at secure sites — a plan that aims to keep the community safe. In spring, more than 28,000 pounds of medication were removed from circulation for secure disposal. KNWA
- ➤ On Monday, Bo’s Blessings — a group that helps Northwest Arkansas veterans — was named Arkansas’ first Blue Star Families Outpost and will soon support 129 families facing deployment challenges. KNWA

EDUCATION NEWS
- ➤ Northwest Arkansas Community College (NWACC) was looking to fill two leadership positions, President Dennis Rittle said at Monday’s Board of Trustees meeting in Bentonville. He said more details about the search will be released soon. Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Students at Rogers Heritage High School launched the region's first high school food bank and pantry to fight food insecurity by partnering with Northwest Arkansas Food Bank — they packed boxes a few weeks ago and helped distribute food to hundreds, and program director Wayne Levering said the school now aims to reach more families in the community. - ➤ The Single Parent Scholarship Fund of Northwest Arkansas is accepting scholarship applications for spring 2026 for single parents in Benton, Carroll, Madison, and Washington counties—applications must be submitted by October 15.
