- ➤ At Walmart’s 2025 Open Call in Bentonville—hosted at Walmart’s new headquarters—over 100 entrepreneurs earned 'Golden Tickets' to have their U.S.-made products sold on Walmart and Sam’s Club shelves and online. The two-day event included one-on-one pitch meetings and mentorship sessions that helped the entrepreneurs prepare to scale production. KNWA

- ➤ Crystal Bridges Museum of American Art broke ground on Ozark Discovery Canopy—an outdoor playscape that will feature a flowing water area, oversized swings and a family slide in a wooded ravine near the museum. - ➤ On Aug. 16, Jerome Bias, a furniture maker and cultural heritage leader from North Carolina, sang 'Steal Away to Jesus' at Historic Cane Hill for the 'Treasured Chests' exhibit that highlighted 19th century craftsmanship by enslaved and free makers—bringing a rich cultural legacy to life.
