- ➤ Smart Chicken will donate 10% of its November sales to the Northwest Arkansas Food Bank—this donation is part of its 25th Annual Smart Giving Program to help feed those in need. - ➤ The INVERSE Performance Art Festival will return for its 10th year at The Momentary in Bentonville and include an extra show at The Crystal Bridges Museum of Art from Dec. 11 to 14. More than 40 artists will lead interactive workshops and performances, including one event that features a nine-course meal exploring themes of motherhood. KNWA
- ➤ Musicians led by 1 Oz. Jig will perform the fourth annual Last Waltz tribute on Nov. 29 at George’s Majestic Lounge, with doors opening at 7 p.m. and music starting at 8 p.m. The event features local favorite Earl Cate and area artists honoring the 1976 farewell concert — tickets cost $23.50. - ➤ At its meeting on Nov 11, the Springdale City Council reviewed a six-month plan from Garver LLC for an indoor sports facility and upgrades to outdoor sports complexes—details include a 178,000-square-foot facility with multiple courts and seating for 4,000. - ➤ The Arkansas Department of Agriculture issued a notice on Monday, reminding poultry growers to watch for signs of highly contagious avian influenza after confirming a case in a backyard flock in Mississippi County last month — the guidelines include washing hands, quarantining new birds, and restricting wild bird contact. The notice warned that even one detection could disrupt trade and stressed immediate reporting, as the virus does not normally infect humans — protecting both domestic and wild birds. KNWA

- ➤ Tontitown-based paintball team NWA United earned a spot in the National Xball League World Cup in Florida by winning the Lead Xball League series title with 28 wins and 3 losses. NWA United—rooted in local play—will compete from November 13th to 16th to show their skill on the world stage. KNWA
- ➤ Karter Knox returned to the court after missing the season opener with a toe sprain — scoring 19 points and recording his first double-double as Arkansas beat Central Arkansas 93-56 on Tuesday night at Walton Arena.
