- ➤ The Springdale City Council approved revenue bonds that let Tyson acquire and retrofit the idled Cargill building at 730 E. Randall Wobbe Ln for a chicken processing facility. Tyson will use a payment in lieu of taxes to secure a 50% tax break over 10 years — a move expected to create about 200 jobs — which will boost local business. KNWA
- ➤ Rogers-based America’s Car-Mart Inc. is expected to post a 57-cent loss per share and a 4.68% revenue decline in Q2 as it shifts to a consolidation strategy that has already led to the closure of at least six dealerships—customers of the closed locations are redirected to other branches. Gravette improved to a 7 to 0 record with a 70 to 63 win over McDonald County and Valley Springs edged Pea Ridge 63 to 62 in overtime after Isaac Garvin’s late free throw — all games ended with decisive wins.
