- ➤ Bentonville-based Empathy Health Technologies raised $7.6 million to scale its online sobriety platform Sober Sidekick. The funding—which increases its total to $11.4 million—will boost partnerships with U.S. payers, enhance its predictive tool, and expand support teams. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ Crisp, a retail technology company with offices in Springdale, closed its $26 million Series B1 round on Dec. 10, led by Paine Schwartz Partners and other investors to boost its AI-driven solutions and growth. - ➤ On Wednesday, Greenland's Lady Pirates defeated Springdale 60-42 at the first day of the Red'Dog Invitational. Daisy Fuentes achieved a double-double with 16 points & 14 rebounds, helping Greenland maintain its unbeaten season. Northwest Arkansas Democrat-Gazette
- ➤ The second segment of duck season opened Wednesday, giving waterfowl hunters a chance to shop for gear like nonleaking waders, bright headlamps and quality shotguns such as the Beretta A400 Xtreme at about $2,000 + red dot sights like Holosun’s 509T. - ➤ Griffin Mason, a senior running back at Shiloh Christian, ran for 189 yards and scored four touchdowns in Saturday’s state title win over Greenwood — earning him game MVP honors. He will now play college ball at Harding and cherish his final season with the Saints. 5 News
- ➤ Arkansas football announced its 2026 schedule on Thursday night, featuring an SEC opener vs. Georgia on Sept. 19, a regular-season finale vs. LSU on Nov. 28, and a home game vs. Missouri on Oct. 31; season openers are against North Alabama on Sept. 5 and at Utah on Sept. 12.
