- ➤ Potbelly opened its first Northwest shop in Bentonville at 909 S.E. J St. at the Walmart Home Office and now employs about 20 workers—while a Springdale location will open in late December at a shopping center on Gene George Boulevard and West Sunset Avenue. NWA Business Journal
- ➤ America’s Car-Mart Inc., based in Rogers, completed a $161.3 million securities transaction on Friday (Dec. 18) with asset-backed notes averaging a 7.02% coupon and expects the new structure to boost monthly cash flow and lower long-term capital costs. NWA Business Journal
REAL ESTATE NEWS
- ➤ A 4,950 sqft convenience store at Johnson Road and West Sunset Avenue in Springdale was recently sold for $4.27 million to Fayetteville-based HSS Enterprises LLC, and the property now features a long-term lease to convenience chain Maverik. NWA Business Journal
SPORTS NEWS
- ➤ Thursday's high school basketball games delivered many scores including a 67-54 win for Springdale Har-Ber (over Tulsa Union), and tournament matchups are set with games on Friday and Saturday at Conway and Bentonville.
