- ➤ Big Brothers Big Sisters of Northwest Arkansas marks its 30th anniversary with several events—one featuring a fireside chat with Walmart CEO Doug McMillon and Walmart U.S. COO Kieran Shanahan scheduled for April 30 at Rogers Convention Center from 10 a.m. to noon. The nonprofit, which made its first mentor match in December 1995, expects 400 community members to attend and plans additional celebrations throughout the year. NWA Business Journal

- ➤ Hannah Shankman starred as Fanny Brice in Funny Girl at Walton Arts Center where on opening night she captivated the audience with her talent and vulnerability—sharing key scenes with Melissa Manchester. - ➤ The Arkansas Air & Military Museum in Fayetteville will host Warbirds, Wings & Wheels on March 22nd and 23rd, offering tours of historic aircraft such as That’s All Brother and Yellow Rose, a classic car show, and static exhibits. - ➤ Fourth-grade students from Bernice Young Elementary School in Springdale learned where food comes from as they harvested carrots for a snack at Apple Seeds Teaching Farm in Fayetteville Tuesday—program educators led the garden lesson focused on the difference between processed and unprocessed food. - ➤ On March 19th, the Arkansas Senate approved a bill that would let voters decide next year whether to let the Arkansas Natural Resources Commission issue up to $500 million in bonds for water, waste disposal, and pollution abatement facilities—legislators said the move clears the way for the statewide plan.
