- ➤ The Shiloh Museum of Ozark History in Springdale is unveiling an exhibit honoring Betty Hayes Davis by sharing her Black family's legacy in civil rights, gospel music and education (One Step Higher: Five Generations of a Black Ozark Family) through early 2026. 5 News
- ➤ The Momentary will host a free, family-friendly House Party on Saturday, May 31 to celebrate its three new exhibitions and invite guests to enjoy live music, custom vinyl pressing with Mobil Vinyl, DIY concert shirt screen-printing, a dance party, food trucks, artmaking, games, and exhibition tours from 10 a.m. to 10 p.m. — a local concert at the RØDE House will highlight local talent while timed portrait tickets for The Machine Behind the Art are available for $20. ENVIRONMENT NEWS
- ➤ Students from Har-Ber High School in Springdale and six Fayetteville schools planted nearly 1,000 pots of American pond weed and 50 delta arrowhead plants in school greenhouses at Bob Kidd Lake near Prairie Grove—supported by local business donations and the Arkansas Game and Fish Commission. In April, the students transplanted the plants to floating nursery cages to protect them from aquatic herbivores and improve habitat for native fish while applying classroom science.
